Picturesque North Devon has some of the most beautiful coastline in the country, with miles and miles of golden sands, breathtaking cliffs and unspoilt fishing villages. Our base for this holiday is the charming Durrant House Hotel on the outskirts of the market town of Bideford, set on the estuary of the River Torridge, a peaceful spot from which to explore the coastlines and gardens of delightful North Devon.

Your Hotel: Durrant House Hotel, Bideford ***
The Durrant House Hotel offers a high standard of accommodation and comfort. Facilities include the oak-panelled Olive Tree restaurant, bar and ballroom. All bedrooms are ensuite and include television and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift to the 1st and 2nd floors.

Itinerary
Excursion 1
RHS Rosemoor & Bideford. We visit RHS Rosemoor- a delighfu garden that blends formal and informal plantings to magical effect. Explore the rose gardens, the long borders, the exotic gardens, and all the seasonal delights at this stunning garden. Afterwards we have free time to explore the ancient seaport of Bideford, delighfully set on the banks of the River Torridge.
Excursion 2
Boscastle, Tintagel & Bude. Today we have a full day out taking us into Cornwall. First we take a short break in the pretty fishing village of Boscatle before continuing along the coast road to Tintagel, wherethe ruined castle is the legendary birthplace of Kinhg Arthur. Leaving Tintagel our final stop today is in the delighful holiday resort of Bude.
Excursion 3
Ilfracombe & Marwood Hill Gardens. We head for the popular seaside resort of Ilfracombe, a pleasant town with grand Victorian villas, whitewashed houses and a quant heritage harbour and quayside. Later we visit Marrwood Hill Gardens. In 1949, Dr Jimmy Smart a rformer WW2 ships docto retired to North Devon and designed this horticultural paradise
