Beachy Head & Brighton. We take a drive via dramatic Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliffs in the Uk, and the Sussex Coast on our way to Brighton for the day. Here we have free time in the resort and also an included visit to the Royal Pavillion, an exotic palace built for King George IV that mixes Regency gradeur with the visual styles of India and China.

Excursion 2

Lewes & the Bluebell Railway. We start the day with a trip into yesteryear on the Bluebell Railway. One of Britains best preserved heritage railways, our journey begins at Sheffield Park station, trundling through lovely Sussex countryside en route to journey's end at Wast Grinstead. Afterwards we can call in at Lewes, surrounded by the chalk cliffs of the South Downs with plenty of welcoming cafes and a Norman castle dominating the town.
